I have a complaint about a taxi ride, what do I do?
This site deals with the procedure to follow or steps to take if ever you are not satisfied with your taxi ride.

Try to reach a solution with the driver.
First of all try to work it out with the driver. If that doesn't lead to an acceptable solution, you may consider filing a written complaint with the operator.

Note the name and phone number of the taxi operator.
The phone number or name is needed, in order to identify the address of the operator in case you consider to file a written complaint. If you were only able to note the license plate of the cab, the Central Taxi Complaint Desk may be able to help you by forwarding your written complaint to the operator.

Filing a written complaint with the taxi operator.
Please file your complaint no later than six weeks after the taxi ride, preferably using this taxi complaints form.

Or, filing a complaint through the "Central Taxi Complaint Desk"
This desk will not deal with the content of your complaint itself but will pass it on to the operator for you and will request to deal with the complaint itself and to let you know when to expect an answer on your complaint.

Wait for the operator's response.
You should receive the response usually no later than six weeks, as this deadline is stated in the complaints procedures that each taxi operator in the Netherlands is obliged to have. If you are not satisfied with the solution offered to you by the operator, you may want to handle your complaint as a formal conflict to the Conflict Resolution Board. You can find more information on the procedures and conditions on the website of the Board.
